FCA Crypto Promotion Compliance

UK Residents: If you are a UK resident, please note that:

  • This Service is not a financial promotion as defined by the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Financial Promotion) Order 2005
  • We do not promote, market, or advertise crypto assets to UK consumers
  • Our Service is a technical protocol for private payments on Base L2, not an investment service
  • You acknowledge that you have not been subject to any crypto asset promotion, marketing, or advertising by ZeroLedger
  • You have independently decided to use our Service based on your own research and understanding
  • You are using this Service at your own risk

Regulatory Status: ZeroLedger is an early-stage startup and is not authorized or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the United Kingdom. Our Service is provided on an "as is" basis.

Crypto Asset Warnings

High Risk: The value of crypto assets can be volatile and you may lose all of your investment.

No FCA Protection: Crypto assets are not protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) or the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS). You will not have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service or be protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use our Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

  • You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
  • You are not located in a jurisdiction where use of the Service is prohibited
  • You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • You are not using the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

User Responsibilities

Account Security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • You are solely responsible for the security of your wallet and private keys
  • We do not have access to your private keys or funds
  • You acknowledge that loss of private keys may result in permanent loss of access to your funds

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Use the Service for money laundering, terrorist financing, or other illegal activities
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service

Service Availability

  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind
  • We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time
  • We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from Service unavailability or technical issues

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ZEROLEDGER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
